ANEEL IRSHAD KHAN is the author of numerous books including Waiting for Spring, Sadness to Happiness, Articleship, gard e safar aur Faraz, Fundamental rights and freedoms under constitution of Pakistan, 1973, Forensic Audit of an Individual (three parts) and Urdu poetry books.
A native of Lahore, Pakistan, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad-Pakistan and Certificate in Accounting and Finance from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He is Certified Forensic Expert, Certified Financial Consultant and Certified Tax Expert from renowned institutions of the world. During his education, he participated in many literary events and obtained many awards in this respect.
After completion of education, he did jobs in accounts and audit departments of renowned companies but left it and started his own accounts, taxation and management consultancy in the name of ‘Irshad and Company Management Consultants’ (www.irshadanadco.com). From his busiest schedule, his pen always takes him to the corner of isolation where he writes biographies, poetry, essays and other books on different topics.
His first book, “Zeena e Dil” on Urdu Poetry, was published in 2018 by Darul Muhsaf Publishers. He went on to write poetry books including “Pabajaulan Khahishein”, “Unqa”, “Koi Din Aur” and some are yet unpublished. He wrote an autobiography “Articleship, grad e safar aur Faraz” which depicts the experiences and observations during his articleship of chartered accountancy. It is, in fact, an autobiography as well as travelogue which narrates stories of author’s visits to different cities. He also wrote a book on short stories namely “Thoughts” which will be published soon.
“Waiting for spring” is his one of his marvelous piece of work which discusses history of two pandemics, myths about COVID-19, from where it started, its presence in China, U.S., Arizona, etc and which virus kills whom. It also discusses about the infection fatality rate, effects of lockdown and measures, other flu virurses in the history, vaccine preparation & its distribution and how many people died in 1918 and what the current situation is.
He also wrote “Sadness to Happiness” which is about grief, conceptualize grief, primary and secondary losses, types and stages of grief, symptoms of grief, mitigating factors, impact of unresolved grief, myths about grief and bill of rights for grief. It also guides about self-care, review activities to help people grieve and treatment of grief.
Another master piece is “Fundamental Rights and Freedoms under Constitution of Pakistan, 1973”. The book describes the fundamental rights and freedoms available to citizens of Pakistan under Constitution of Pakistan, 1973. There is not only exact wording of constitution but also briefing of author on it.
He, with his family, lives in Lahore (Pakistan) where he runs his consultancy firm, participates in poetry contests and enjoys meeting different people. His thirst of reading and writing will never be fulfilled.
